My friend showed me this site where you have 45 seconds to draw a pokemon but sometimes it takes like 20 seconds for the reference image to load in and let me tell you my artistic abilities have never shone brighter.

It’s amazing how excited I am to go future school supply shopping for my 3 month old daughter.

This is Dan Akroyd’s brand of vodka, and I got it autographed when he was in Austin like 3 years ago or so :D

The biggest mistake of your life was dropping out of the eleventh grade and marrying that road hog.

What would you do if he walked in right now?

So you support what JonTron said in response to Tim Schafer?

winnebago-on-top-a-toboggan:

Why do I have to choose between support and opposition?

I just really like Jontron and the content he produces.

I don’t feel that personal politics should always have a dramatic factor on whether or not I enjoy an artist’s work (as long as someone isn’t lying, cheating, or stealing, of course). But that’s me.

Everyone draws their lines differently.

hey! i've been following your blog for a while and creepily admiring you from afar. anyway, i'm really interested in your opinion about radical feminism and liberal feminism. so. yeah. this is the question. sorry to bother you and feel free to ignore me!

oscarwilde:

hi!! you havent been creepy at all

the only feminism i trust is intersectional feminism to be honest, for a few reasons. both the terms “liberal feminism” and “radical feminism” have bad associations for me.

liberal feminism is way too centered on white western women, and it is way too comfortable with capitalism. when i think “liberal feminism” i think “my eyeliner will crush the patriarchy” and “feminist porn” and femen and the dismissal of non-white women.

radical feminism make me think of, like, TERFs and “trans women weren’t socialized & oppressed the way women with vaginas are” and “gender abolitionists”… also radical feminism makes me think of catchphrases like “kill all men” (which is such a pet peeve of mine because for decades black men were murdered for, like, making eye contact with white women… not to mention the fact that trans men exist and gay men exist like do not come at me with this “kill all men” statement because it implies that all men are as oppressive as the typical straight cis white man)

intersectional feminism acknowledges that we all reside in a different spot in our societies’ power hierarchies based on a number of factors, not just gender. intersectional feminism is inherently anti-capitalist because in order to be an intersectional feminist, one must realize how capitalism and the military & prison industrial complexes (which are the by products of capitalism) hurt women all over the world, especially nonwhite women, especially women who live in ‘developing countries’ (developing countries are usually poor + in a state of unrest due to western intervention, be it military intervention or export of labour)

but tbh feminism as a movement has historically been hurtful to many women and continues to be exclusionary to many women today. i identify as a feminist but having someone call themselves a feminist is no longer enough for me. identifying as a feminist =/= having good politics. there are racist feminists, right-wing feminists, feminists who throw other women under the bus by saying shit like “not all feminists are man-hating hairy lesbians uwu!” because they know that being traditionally feminine makes society more likely to accept them + their feminism and theyre comfortable with the privilege traditional femininity affords them, etc. etc. etc.

basically??? my feelings on feminism are super complicated. tbh sometimes i am tempted to stop identifying as a feminist because of how awful & exclusionary the movement is/has been but that might send the wrong message so for the moment i feel like identifying as “intersectional feminist” is the best choice for me

(wow sorry for rambling im just super conflicted on all this but i hope this helped deconstruct my thoughts re: feminism a bit!)
